December 16, 2020 Briefings, Learning and Reflections, Programme Themes, Reconfiguration of services The Teenage Brain BriefingsBy Ellie Mendez-Sayer Download This series of resources is based on interviews with experts in the field of research, policy and practice with young people. The interviews were undertaken by Ellie Mendez-Sayers, Research in Practice associate, and focused on key issues and debates in the field of child exploitation and extra-familial harm. Through these discussions with researchers and practitioners, who come from different fields and have different areas of expertise, we hope to bring to the fore the complexities of child exploitation and extra-familial harm, and to contribute to an understanding of the different perspectives that exist. For some topics, there was a high level of agreement; in others, more differences were apparent. We have tried to ensure that these differences in perspective have been clearly attributed. We are very grateful to all those who participated in the interviews, all of whom were extremely generous with their time and expertise.
