Despite the universality of CSE in all communities this form of abuse continues to go under reported and unidentified amongst Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) groups. This document will explore reasons why children and young people from BME communities may go undetected by professionals, the additional barriers they may face in reporting abuse and will present practical tips to improve identification, reporting and protection.
