EDUCATION FOCUS – Developing a shared path through complexity: practice principles for child exploitation and extra-familial harm Thursday 13 July, 3.45pm - 5.15pm Overview We are very pleased to announce a series of open-access consultation events aimed at sector professionals in education settings and in education-focused roles working with young people affected by child exploitation and extra–familial harm. These events will be part of TCE’s first stage of consultation and participation activity. Please join us at one of our July events. As with all TCE’s work, the Programme team will be drawing on knowledge from research, professional wisdom and expertise from lived experience to develop the principles. As a vital part of this TCE will be undertaking direct consultation activity with professionals across the country, alongside consulting children, young people families and community organisations. Consultation and participation work will occur throughout the year. In this first phase, until the end of July 2022, we are seeking initial views and perspectives on what the principles could best include and what supporting resources would add most value. We will then share what we have learned and seek feedback on draft principles in the Autumn, before sharing the final principles and resources from January 2023. request a space Outcomes An exciting opportunity to directly influence systems improvement Pre-reading Excluded or missing from education and child exploitation: literature review and stakeholder views on safeguarding practice View Pre-reading About the speakers More details to follow Designed for We are very keen for our consultation events to attract an education audience.
