The Contextual Safeguarding Service is a multi-agency partnership hub called Empower U that brings together police, health, social care, education, housing, youth offending services, licensing, youth services and the voluntary/community sector to tackle child criminal exploitation (CCE) and child sexual exploitation (CSE). Clair was interviewed in February 2022 for this case study in which she discussed the journey that the Contextual Safeguarding Hub has been on to engage more effectively with parents and carers of children and young people who have been exploited and bring them on board as equal safeguarding partners.
